The 2015 e-Golf features a 24.2-kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which provides up to 118 miles of  range. The e-Golf is a five door hatchback and delivers 114 horsepower. It can accelerate from zero to 62 miles per hour in a little over 10 seconds, according to autoblog.com. It can get fully charged within 13 hours, and features three drive modes: Normal, Eco and ECO+. Four modes of regenerative braking help extend the range of the electric motor as well.

The e-Up! is expected to get 99 miles on its battery and is smaller than the e-Golf. The e-Up! is a three door hatchback and delivers 81 horsepower. It can go from zero to 62 miles per hour in a little over 12 seconds, according to autoblog.com. It can get fully charged within nine hours.

Both the e-Golf and the e-Up! are expected to hit the European market in 2014. The e-Golf will come to the US in 2015, with an estimated price tag of $35,000. Volkswagen has yet to announce if the e-Up! will be released in the states.
