There are a lot of choices on the market when it comes to compact SUVs and crossovers, but few provide the engineering, performance, efficiency and quality of drive that comes with the totally redesigned VW Tiguan. The 2018 Tiguan features an exterior with powerful lines that make it ready to claim the mantle as boss of hauling people and stuff. Inside, the attention to detail, use of quality materials and craftsmanship make it a pleasure to own and drive. Now backed with the People’s Warranty, a six-year/72,000-mile security blanket of coverage, the Tiguan really has no competition. Check out the new king of the concrete jungle when you take a trip to Chapman VW Tucson.

Challenging Roads No Problem

Just because the VW Tiguan offers a smooth, comfortable ride, don’t expect your driving experience to be dull. The Tiguan can play nice with others when it has to, turning your daily commute into more of a pleasure cruise. Once the road, or trail, becomes more challenging, just slip into the optional 4Motion all-wheel drive and let the Tiguan distribute the power between the rear and front wheels as needed. If you’re taking a trip up to the Snow Bowl and run into some icy roads, just switch into snow mode and the engine will restrict itself from providing too much power so the wheels don’t slip. Off-road mode keeps you in control when the pavement ends, enabling hill descent control to take steep declines at a safe pace.

VW Digital Cockpit a True Breakthrough

The VW Digital Cockpit is an option you should seriously consider in the new Tiguan, allowing you to store up to four different driver profiles for varying displays of information. This 12.3-inch display sits in place of the traditional speedometer and gauges, letting you keep all vital information, including navigation, in line-of-sight with the road. The VW infotainment system works with compatible smartphones to let you utilize a limited number of apps for hands-free phone calls or to stream music or podcasts.

Longer Wheelbase Means More Room

Although the VW Tiguan is technically in the compact SUV category, the new design features a wheelbase that’s 10 inches longer than the 2017 model. That means more room for legs, shoulders and stuff. Fold the rear seats down and you have 73.5 cubic feet of cargo room, which is plenty for those occasional runs to the big box store or to finally convince your spouse to pick up a big screen TV. From the design to the engineering to the comfort, the 2018 VW Tiguan is built for people who enjoy driving. Take a test drive today when you visit Chapman VW Tucson.

The Volkswagen brand is looking up, with almost 600,000 vehicles across the globe delivered in September 2017, an increase of about 8 percent compared with the same period last year. For the year-to-date, about 4.5 million vehicles have been sold worldwide, which represents a 3 percent increase. The United States showed a 33 percent increase from September to September. “September was indeed a record-breaking month for the Volkswagen brand. It was the strongest month for deliveries in the history of Volkswagen, not only worldwide, but for the individual markets of China, Canada, Chile, Poland, Sweden and Slovakia as well,” said Jurgen Stackmann, VW board member. “There are also clear signs of an upturn in the home market of Germany; current orders are well above the previous month. The clearly positive dynamic for the brand continues in all regions.” See what all the excitement is about when you visit Chapman VW Tucson.

Jetta Sales Strong in U.S.

Along with strong sales from the new Atlas and redesigned Tiguan, the Jetta accounted for the biggest sales bump in the U.S. Total Jetta sales were up 45 percent from the previous year, despite the fact that the Jetta SportWagen became the Golf SportWagen. VW sold more than 12,000 Jetta sedans in September 2017 in America. The new large SUV Atlas also had a strong showing with almost 4,100 delivered in September across the U.S. in its first year of existence. Tiguan sales were up by more than 1,000 units and the Beetle Convertible had a 32 percent sales increase. The total Golf family also experienced a 24 percent increase for September, buoyed by the 100 percent increase in sales of the SportWagen and a 21 percent rise in GTI sales.

New People First Warranty Will Boost Sales Further

Look for sales to continue to rise into the 2018 model year as VW announces the People First warranty that provides bumper-to-bumper coverage on most VW models for up to 6 years or 72,000 miles. “Volkswagen has always been the people’s car and with the People First Warranty we’re putting our customers first,” according to VW CEO Hinrich J. Woebcken. By bringing the right cars, at the right time and making the offer very competitive, we believe we’re in the position to grow in the U.S. Market. Now’s a great time to pick up a new VW with the Model Year End event at Chapman VW Tucson. Low lease rates and up to $5,500 off the MSRP of select VWs equal the best deals of the year.
